School Uniform

Our school uniform reflects our shared values of pride, equality, and belonging. We encourage all students to wear the full uniform correctly each day, helping to create a positive and focused learning environment. We also offer a range of uniform options, recognising that our students have different sensory and practical needs, and we aim to ensure every child feels comfortable and supported.

Where to Buy

Branded items are available from Moonline Uniforms in Burnley and the Abbey Street Shopping Centre in Accrington. However, we understand the importance of flexibility for families, and parents are welcome to choose unbranded jumpers, provided they match the school’s specified colours.

Burnley Together have launched a School Uniform Recycling Initiative and provide cost effective ‘nearly new’ uniforms for families.

Key Stage 3 Girls

  • Black Flat Shoes
  • White Socks/Black tights

Key Stage 3 Boys

  • Grey or Black Trousers
  • Navy Blue Jumper/Sweatshirt

Key Stage 4 Girls

  • White Blouse
  • Black Jumper/Sweatshirt
  • Black Skirt/Trousers

PE & Games

  • Black Shorts

  • Trainers (Scuff free soles) to be kept in bag at school

Sixth Form

  • Plain Polo Shirt(students choice of colour but not too bright)
  • Purple coloured sweatshirt (with embroidered Ridgewood Logo)
  • Students are expected to wear smart/casual clothing & Footwear

Health & Safety

The wearing of any jewelry, other than 1 small stud, is NOT PERMISSIBLE IN SCHOOL.

Earrings must be removed for P.P. and for other subjects where Health & Safety concerns are expressed. Children must be able to remove to replace their own earrings.

Nail polish and false nails are not allowed in school. Long hair must be always tied back with one suitable hair bobble or scrunchy.

For Health & Safety reasons Aerosol deodorants are NOT allowed in school.

Parents should be aware the wearing hair gel is not permitted when completing Technology.

CHEWING GUM IS NOT ALLOWED IN SCHOOL.
